Join students from across Michigan for the Converge Fall Conference!

Over a weekend, we will learn and explore together what it means to follow Jesus as college students, through keynote speakers, musical worship, interactive tracks, and campus processing times. Along the way, you'll form new friendships and deepen existing ones, both from your own campus and across the state! Whether you have been following Jesus for a long time or whether are you just beginning to check him out, you will find a home at Converge - so come join us!

When registering, you will have the chance to indicate your first and second choices for tracks.

Finding Your Place in InterVarsity

Suggested Audience: All

What is the point of InterVarsity? Maybe you’ve been around a community on campus - or maybe you’re just connecting with one - and you need to know what we mean by calling ourselves "a witnessing community growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people, and God’s purposes". This track will explore InterVarsity’s purpose, how it comes from an understanding of Jesus’s “good news” message, and what YOUR place in our movement might be right now!

Formed for Fruitfulness

Suggested Audience: Freshmen/Sophomores | New followers of Jesus

The first Psalm in the Bible paints a beautiful picture of followers of God: “They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither…” (Psalm 1:3a). In this track, participants will explore three key dimensions of discipleship that will prepare them for a life of beautiful spiritual rootedness, growth, resilience and fruitfulness.

Becoming a Kingdom Leader

Suggested Audience: Freshmen/Sophomores | Apprentices or Leaders-in-Training

Interested in learning how to walk alongside others towards Jesus? In this track, you will learn concrete practices that help your friends take next steps in their faith journey. The track is geared towards anyone who wants to grow in living out their faith on campus, but especially for those who would like to explore leadership steps with their InterVarsity chapter.

Flint Justice Experience

Suggested Audience: Sophomores/Juniors/Seniors | Non-Christians

Consider what it means to practice and seek justice through the lens of Jesus and his teachings. Join local community leaders to learn about the history of Flint and see firsthand the broken and beautiful things happening in this city. This track involves a bus tour and active service.

Immeasurably More: Prayer Track

Suggested Audience: Sophomores/Juniors/Seniors

We invite you to experience the presence of God as you seek the fulfillment of His purposes in your life and for your campus. You will have the opportunity to reflect on God’s intentions for the world as revealed in the Scriptures, and practice engaging in prayer that His intentions would become reality. You will hear encouraging stories of prayer and have space to meet with God together through various styles of prayer. The central invitation of this track is for you to grow in your appreciation for the power of prayer, expand your own prayer toolbelt, and strengthen your belief that God is able to do immeasurably more.

Created for Connection

Suggested Audience: Juniors/Seniors

Navigating sexuality in relation to spirituality can be challenging, raising many questions. How should our faith shape our view of sex? Are sex and intimacy the same thing? How do intimacy, sexuality, and identity intersect in a world filled with brokenness and cultural pressures? Join us as we explore these questions and more, seeking to understand God's redemptive plan for sex, relationships, and intimacy.

Theology for Beginners

Suggested Audience: Sophomores/Juniors/Seniors

Where do your ideas of God come from? Why do some Christians seem to have such different views from other Christians? What role has experience, reason, tradition, and Scripture played in how you think about God? Understanding where you come from is a helpful first step to engaging spiritually with one another, our culture, and ultimately, with God. Join us as we learn how to locate ourselves theologically and find a way toward greater devotion to God and unity with His people.

Leading at the Next Level

Suggested Audience: Juniors/Seniors who have led with InterVarsity for at least one year (please note that we will reach out to registrants' staff for approval before they are officially accepted into the track)

Want to grow in your leadership, especially how to coach and develop other leaders in your chapter? Come learn from and alongside committed student leaders from across the region and take your leadership to the next level.

PRE-CONFERENCE
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION?

Registration includes hotel rooming + breakfast, as well as Saturday dinner at the conference.(Please plan for your own meals before + after Converge, and bring $ for Saturday lunch out in downtown Flint.)

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

Pack casual clothing and other necessities. Consider bringing some warm clothes, and maybe a game to play with friends.
(A more thorough packing list will be sent 1-2 weeks before the conference.)

WHEN DOES THE PAYMENT GO THROUGH IF I PAID THE DEPOSIT

Remaining balances will be charged on Nov 6th.

ON-SITE

HOW IS HOUSING ARRANGED?

Students will be in one hotel, with 4 students per room of 2 queen beds. We will arrange housing via gender + InterVarsity chapter.

WHERE DO I PARK?

Cars can stay overnight for free at the student lodging, Holiday Inn Express Flint-Campus Area.
